What are your favorite Halloween traditions?

Do you have favorite Halloween traditions? How long have you been doing them? Will you include your Au Pair and your children in those traditions this year?

Do you take all month to get the costume together and spend hours that night getting ready to go out? Or are you the throw something together that day? Or are you a fuddy-duddy who doesn’t dress up at all because it is just for the kids?

Do you go pumpkin picking and have a carving party? Do you go to a haunted trail or haunted house in your community? Do you get lost in a corn maze or take a hayride with the family? Do you throw a party for the neighborhood kids and play all the traditional games like bobbing for apples and musical chairs?

I’d love to know what your traditions are, who joins you in them, and any new traditions you might have started.
