Save the Date for An Afternoon With The Witches
People from all over the world visit the lovely historic seaport of Salem, MA. The site of the infamous Witch Hysteria of 1692, the quaint town attracts millions of visitors a year in October for the biggest Halloween party in the US. So, dawn your Halloween costume and join us for some bewitching fun!
The group will be participating in the following activities, feel free to join in on one or both:
1. “Cry Innocent: The People vs. Bridget Bishop” (http://cryinnocentsalem.com/) is an interactive theatrical production. The year is 1692, Bridget Bishop has been accused of witchcraft. You will be a participant on the jury to help decide her fate… (We will meet at 2:15 across from the Peabody-Essex Museum where we will witness Bridget get arrested!) Cost: $10/pp.
2. After the performance, we will walk to the waterfront and visit the “House of 7 Gables”. (www.7gables.org). An historic mansion made famous by author Nathaniel Hawthorne. We will get a guided tour of the house and also get to check out Hawthorne’s home and surrounding gardens. Cost: $12.50/pp.
