Each month, as some of you may already know, Go Au Pair choose one country to feature. When a Host Family chooses to match with a Featured Country Au Pair during the featured moth, they are eligible to receive a $100 discount off program fees.
For the first month of 2013, we are proud to feature our au pairs from Ecuador! Ecuador is a beautiful country on the north-western corner of the continent of South America. Ecuador is home to more than 15 million people, with nearly 95% Roman Catholic and whose official language is Spanish, although other indigenous languages are spoken there. Two major cities include the capital of Quito and the larger city of Guayaquil, each with populations around 2 million! Au Pairs from Ecuador rave about their experiences and so do our Host Families! Why not read about them on our website?
In future blog posts, I will share some of the individuals we have available from Ecuador to join your family as an au pair and provide your children a cultural child care experience.
All Au Pairs pass a 17-point screening process including background check & personality profile, speak English (rated 1-5), receive 32 hours child care training in child development & safety, provide live-in care for children & perform child care related tasks like meal prep for kids, children’s laundry, cleaning children’s playroom & bedrooms. Full time Au Pairs work up to 45 hours per week & the total cost to you is about $340, or only $288 for a 30 hour part time Au Pair. Each Au Pair is responsible to complete an educational component.
We also have a number of au pairs already in the U.S. looking to transition to a new Host Family. This means they are available much quicker than an au pair who is still waiting to get a Visa in his or her country.
