IAPA Au Pair of the Year Award deadline is approaching soon!

If you know an au pair who has gone above and beyond during their service to a host family, please encourage them to visit the nomination page today! The deadline to nominate your au pair is is January 17th.

Two winning essays will be chosen. The first place winner will receive $500 off program fees for the next full year placement plus a $200 gift card. That’s up to $700 in prizes for themselves and another $200 gift card for their au pair! The runner up will receive a $100 gift card for the family and another one for the au pair! Not only could your au pair be recognized for all the hard work he or she has done for your family, but you can reward them publicly and financially if your essay is chosen.

Want to know more? Here’s how you nominate your au pair.

1. Write a 500 to 850 word nomination essay (about 1 page single-spaced) describing the characteristics that make your Au Pair exceptional (see our nomination essay topic page for ideas)

2. Include photos of your family and Au Pair – videos aren’t required but are highly recommended

3. Upload your completed essay and photos on our submission page no later than January 17, 2013

*If the Au Pair’s home country agency is not a member of IAPA, they will not be eligible to win the IAPA Award.  However, the Host Family’s submitted nomination will still qualify their Au Pair for Go Au Pair’s $200 Award and the family for the $700 prize. Go Au Pair will follow up with every nomination to let the Host Family know whether their Au Pair is eligible or not.
