The kids have been waiting for the snow to melt, and frankly, so have the adults! How about a fun, outdoor event to get spring going? Teenagers can be especially spring-feverish this time of year. Here is a great family event for your au pair, your teens, and the little ones! The New England Trail Riders Association, known as NETRA, holds regular events throughout New England and New York. If you have never been to a real off-road motorcycle race, it is an experience Host Families and Au Pairs alike will thoroughly enjoy. This is one the dads will love, too!
Go Au Pair Providence has plans to attend the Spring Challenge Championship Hare Scrambles in Freetown, Massachusetts on Sunday, April 6th. This is a bit of a different kind of cultural activity than you may be used to attending. It could be an all-day event, or choose which race you want to see and arrive just for that one. Be aware that spectating at these events requires paying attention and occasionally, swift feet. Strollers can make it over some terrain, but if you plan on running through any trails to catch a glimpse of the action in the woods, I recommend a front or rear carrier for small children. Sneakers or boots, depending on the weather, for all.
See my evite for all the event details, and we will see you next month!
