Need an Au Pair Right Away? Meet Laura from Colombia!

Go Au Pair has been providing American families with live-in au pair childcare for 25 years! We have out-of-country au pairs available within 6-8 weeks of matching with you, but did you know we also have in-country au pairs who can be living with your family within just 2 weeks? That’s right! Sometimes, family situations change and Host Families no longer need the services of their au pair. That is just the case with this young lady from Colombia. She now has just two weeks to find a new American family who can use her live-in childcare services for the next nine months! That’s just about the length of the school year that just started!

Laura is available by the end of September!

Laura wants to continue her cultural exchange experience with your family! She is available to start by the end of September!

Please consider Laura from Colombia. She is 23 years old and considers herself to have lots of energy for your kids. According to Laura, she has been in the U.S. only 3 months, leaving 9 months on her first year of service. Au Pair who satisfactorily complete their first year may extend for up to a full second year! Laura says she is not ready for her au pair experience to end because she is learning so much about herself. She does miss her family and friends back in Colombia, but is happy to continue her amazing American experience.

Laura has lots of experience tutoring her school-aged old host child and kids back home in Colombia. She speaks both English and Spanish, as well as some German. She would love to improve her English as well as help your child learn some Spanish. She also loves cooking for her host kids and playing with them. She says she likes any outdoor activity and sport, especially running, walking, volleyball, and playing at parks.

Laura is willing to work with single parents or a married family of any kind. She can care for all of your children over age two. She has 3 years driving experience back home and has also been working toward her college degree in chemistry engineering.  Laura has experience working with children with ADHD and is very excited to meet you and your kids!

  1. Laura is an excellent au pair. She was our au pair for the first two months. She is loving, patient and kind and we miss her, especially our nine year old son. We needed someone with a U.S. license right away and Laura needed more time to get her U.S. drivers license, so we sadly ended our time early. Now she is almost there, but we have made other arrangements.

Laura is dependable, smart, friendly, cooks and is a good addition to any family who is looking for a great role model, caregiver, and big sister your children can look up to. Laura understands what it is like to be a great au pair because her sister also served as our au pair a few years back and she visited with us for a few weeks to watch how the job was done. That paid off when she arrived and was immediately comfortable – easily acclimating to the culture.

I feel confident that whatever family chooses Laura as their au pair will be happy that they choose such a positive person to be in their home.

    • What a wonderful testament for the au pair program! I want to thank you for reading my blog and sharing your family’s personal experience with Laura! I hope to help her find a great new match so she can complete her cultural exchange experience in our country and return to Colombia with new skills and confidence to create her own future. Thank you so much for contributing!
