Go Au Pair will honor the country of Mexico as its Featured Country of the month of May, and how fitting, as today is Cinco de Mayo, the fifth of May, a traditional day of celebration in Mexico. On May 5, 1862, Mexican forces defeated the favored French army in the town of Pueblo, Mexico, and the army’s victory is celebrated in Mexico and the United States. Downtown Providence celebrated at the Annual Westminster Street Block Party, held this past Saturday. Tonight, there are still many celebrations taking place. How will you celebrate Cinco de Mayo?
Go Au Pair would like to offer Host Families matching with a Mexican Au Pair a $100 discount just for choosing an au pair from our Featured Country of the Month. Even better for new Host Families, RI area families may be eligible for 15% off program fees when you match with an out-of country au pair within 90 days of your application!
If you’re not sure, why not take a few minute learn about the Au Pair Program and decide if it might be something interesting for your family and your childcare needs. First of all, it is a live-in program, requiring a private bedroom (really no other private living space required) with a door that closes. Next, Host Families can set their au pair’s schedule, up to 45 hours per week, not more than 10 hours per day, according to the needs of the Host Family. If you need mornings before school and afternoons too, no problems. Need to throw in the occasional evening or weekend hours? No problem! Au pair childcare is as flexible as it gets.
With Go Au Pair, you get childcare, but so much more. You get a cultural exchange experience for the entire family, plus your au pair can even help with tasks like making healthy snacks or lunches, driving to and from school, lessons, appointments, language exposure and even cultural appreciation. One super helpful task your au pair can do is kids’ laundry! How many times have you been ready to run out the door when you realized there was a load of kids’ laundry to be hung out, folded, or washed? No problem when you host an au pair from Go Au Pair!
